A., age 37, is the youngest generation still wearing the traditional costume, which is made by hand. Her younger sisters already changed the traditional costume for what they call "civil clothing". Since 20 years she is a summer guest of our neighbours. Sometimes we meet on the "beach" of our neigbourhood. Aaltje always sitting fully dressed on her little chair and me running around on the silts towards the withdrawing water, trying to have a swim. This afternoon it was low tide so we both sat down.
